The ESU-8 is an 8-Channel Digital Timer Unit, designed to provide straightforward accessibility, for virtually any programmable time-switch application. Weekly event switching of 8 independent relay outputs is included, ensuring precise control of devices – namely, timed switching of bells and sounders in various industrial and commercial applications.

Another important thing to note, is that the ESU-8 can be bought as an alternative to the Danfoss 841 and Danfoss 842 Timer Units, or the Randall 841 or Randall 842 – as they were originally branded. However, this IS NOT a Direct Replacement for the Danfoss 841 or Danfoss 842 Timer Units.

Although this is not a direct replacement for the Danfoss 841/842 Timer Units, it can match their channel capacity, providing NO (Normal Open) or NC (Normal Closed) relay contacts to each of its 8 relay outputs, with 10A capability at UK mains voltages or up to 24V DC. Above all, the ESU-8 is a sleek yet modern unit, ideally suited for educational applications where scheduled broadcast of tones, messages, alarms or recorded audio files/tracks is required on an ongoing basis.
